MoS2 solution has been prepared from high purity synthetic MoS? single crystals. The end product is optically active and environmentally stable. The PL spectrum displays peak at 1.89 eV and 2.05 eV corresponding to the band edge and spin-orbit emission. The Raman spectrum displays 19cm-1 difference between in plane and out of plane (E2g and A1g) modes. The FWHM of the Raman peaks are only 0.5cm-1 larger than the exfoliated MoS2 monolayers.
Raman spectroscopy: Raman spectroscopy data is taken over a large area. Displays peak at 386cm-1 (E2g- in plane-) and 405cm-1 (A1g out-of-plane) and the FWHM (full-width-at-half-maximum) is less than 5-6cm-1. Photoluminescence (PL): PL peak at 1.89 and 2.05 eV. Please note that the solution might contain monolayer and few-layer flakes.
